Llanina Waste Water Treatment Works
Client: Dwr Cymru Welsh Water
Scheme: New Aeration Lanes and Final Settlement Tank
This project required a major reconstruction of Llanina WWTW, near New Quay, Ceredigion. The construction requirements consisted of reinforced concrete aeration lanes with 6 metre high walls, 26 metre diameter final settlement tank with half bridge scrapper, ductile iron pipework and associated chambers. The project also consisted of the construction of reinforced concrete access roads with kerbs and footpaths.
The improvements were required to increase the capacity of the waste water treatment works due to growth of the population around the New Quay area
