Reynoldston WWTW

Scheme: Reynoldston WWTW, Gower
YBCE were awarded a contract to construct a new Waste Water Treatment Works at Reynoldston WWTW, Gower.
The scheme required the construction of in-situ concrete chambers, plinths, pumping stations, gravity mains, rising mains, ducts, draw pits and the construction of a new access road.
The in-situ concrete structures include a RBC tank 26 metres long by 7 metres wide by 6 metres deep. Also 2 no. Final Settlement Tanks 14 metres diameter.
The contract duration was 56 weeks including commissioning of the new water treatment works. The works has recently been commissioned and the remaining old WWTW can now be demolished.
This scheme highlights YBCE’s experience in delivering a wide variety of civil engineering activities including shallow and deep drainage. Also the construction of pumping stations and manhole chambers.
